Blue Pokémon]] Wishiwashi (Japanese: ヨワシ Yowashi) is a Water-type Pokémon introduced in the Generation VII games, Pokémon Sun and Moon. It's ability, Schooling, allows it to be in School Form if it is level 20 and if it is above 25% health, giving it a boost in most of its stats. If under level 20 or at less than 25% health, it is in Solo Form, where it has greatly lesser stats than School Form.

Trivia[]

Design origins[]

Wishiwashi is likely based off of a sardine in Solo Form and a submarine in School Form.

Etymology[]

Wishiwashi's name appears to be based off the word wishy-washy, due to it changing forms.
