Talonflame (Japanese: ファイアロー Faiarō) is a dual-type Fire/Flying Pokémon, introduced in the Generation VI games, Pokémon X and Y. It is the final evolution of Fletchling.

- With the increase in name sizes in Generation VI, Talonflame is the first Pokémon to have over five (5) katakana characters in its Japanese name, ファイアロー.
- Talonflame has the highest base speed of all Fire-type Pokémon as well as it having the highest base speed of all new Pokémon introduced in Generation VI.
Design origins[]
Talonflame seems to be based on a Japanese Robin, like it previous form, and fire.
Etymology[]
Talonflame's name comes from the words talon and flame.
