[[Category:Blue Pokémon]]

Swoobat (Japanese: ココロモリ Kokoromori) is a Psychic/Flying type Pokémon introduced in Generation V. It is classified as the Bat Pokémon. It has the abilities Unaware and Klutz. It can learn a new move called Heart Stamp, which can cause the opponent to flinch.

Anime Appearances[]

A flock of Swoobat appeared in BW027 when Iris was trying to catch Emolga. They had very noisy sound waves and were using Round to do widespread damage.

Appearance[]

Swoobat is similar to its pre-evolution form, Woobat, except Swoobat has a head. It sports just a slightly larger pair of wings and they share a heart-shaped nostril on their noses. However, Swoobat is a much darker shade of blue and has a clear pair of eyes, fused-together ears, and legs. It also has a strangely shaped tail and tuft of white fur around its neck. Whenever it flies, its legs are tucked under its body and only its feet are shown.

Evolution[]

Swoobat is the evolved form of Woobat, by evolving while it has Max Hapiness.

Trivia[]

  • Swoobat's English name is based on the English expression "to swoon"; that is, to being overwhelmed by an emotion.
  • Swoobat's Japanese name is a combination of the Japanese words Koroko (Heart) and Koromori (Bat)
  • Woobat and Swoobat are the only Unova Pokémon that have only two Pokémon in their evolutionary line, and evolve by happiness, not level up or trade.
