Sinister Woods is the fourth dungeon in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team. The main character and their partner entered Sinister Woods after the Caterpie they rescued in Tiny Woods told them that his friend Metapod was missing. Team Meanies, having eavesdropped the conversation, challenged the rescue team to a race; if Team Meanies rescued Metapod first, they planned to force Caterpie to join their team. Ultimately the two teams reached the last floor at the same time, leading to a fight.
This dungeon consists of 13 floors and is mainly inhabited by bug and grass-type Pokémon. Status ailments are common here, so it is recommended to bring berries for healing afflictions such as poison or paralysis.
