Layla (Japanese: レイラLayla) debuting in BW097 working at a Pokémon Day Care near Humilau City. She is a clumsy person, but cares deeply for the Pokémon under her care.
Biography[]
Layla appears after Ash and co. find a Rufflet and Vullaby that escaped from the day care, and Ash and his friends decided to follow her back to the day care. There, they find that Layla is left in charge as the principal of the day care leaves for an errand. However, the Vullaby escapes due to another fight with the Rufflet, and Ash and Iris look after the daycare while Cilan and Layla go to retrieve Vullaby. Vullaby ran into trouble with a herd of wild Amoonguss, but was saved by Cilan's Crustle and Rufflet as well. After making their way back to the day care, Rufflet and Vullaby ended their feud.
Rufflet is a Pokémon that disliked Vullaby, but managed to save Vullaby's life from some wild Amoonguss. Afterwards, the two ended their feud. Its known moves are Peck and Air Slash.
