Trivia[]

Facts[]

Design origins[]

Helioptile may be based on the spotted salamander, a lizard that has a symbiotic relationship with Oophila alga, allowing it to photosynthesize.

Etymology[]

Helioptile's name come from the words Helios, the ancient greek personification of the sun, heliophile, something attracted to sunlight and reptile.
