Diantha (Japanese: カルネ Karune) is a character introduced in Pokémon X and Y and the Champion of the Kalos region. She is also a well known actress in Kalos.

Biography

Diantha is a movie star beloved by many in Kalos. Diantha is also a skilled Pokémon Trainer in her own right and even offers to trade Pokémon with the player at one point.

Physical Appearance

Diantha has the appearance of a young girl or woman, probably ranging from about 16-25. She has brown hair, pale skin, and light grey eyes. She wears an open white coat over a low-cut, sleeveless white outfit that ends at the top of her thighs. She also wears white high-heels and two puffy, white objects on her back resembling wings.

In the games

In Pokémon X and Y, the player first meets her in Café Soleil in Lumiose City, where she is having a heated debate with Lysandre over staying young and beautiful. Following Lysandre's departure, she introduces herself to the player and Serena/Calem and leaves.

She is later encountered in the Seaside Station in Coumarine City with Professor Sycamore. After Sycamore leaves, she comments on the power of bonds and asks to battle the player the next time they meet.

After traversing the Kalos Victory Road and facing the Elite Four, the player takes on the Champion, revealed to be Diantha. After defeating her and entering the Hall of Fame, the player can find her in Café Soleil once again where she offers a Ralts with a Gardevoirite in exchange for any Pokémon.

When the player reaches the highest rank in Battle Chateau, Grand Duke/Grand Duchess, she starts appearing as a Grand Duchess as the strongest trainer encountered in the Battle Chateau.
