Trivia[edit | edit source]

Facts[edit | edit source]

  • Vivillon, and it's evolution line, are the only Bug-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VI.

Design origins[edit | edit source]

Vivillon is based on a butterfly.

Etymology[edit | edit source]

Vivillon's name comes from the words vivid, a clear reference to its bright pink hue, and papillon, the French word for butterfly.
