Venipede (Japanese: フシデ Fushide) is a Bug/Poison-type Pokémon based off of a centipede, introduced in Generation V.

Appearance[edit | edit source]

Venipede is a dark purple and green Pokémon with about a third (the head) of it being purple and the rest being a dark green color. It has purple antenna on its top and rear of its face. It has large yellow eyes and some green on its lower torso.

Evolution[edit | edit source]

Venipede evolves into Whirlipede at level 22, and then into Scolipede at level 30.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • While it's similar to Weedle and Wurmple in nature, it doesn't evolve as fast as either of them, evolving at level 22 rather than level 7.
  • Its name comes from the words venom, meaning poison, and centipede, meaning 100-legged insect.
