Trivia[]
- Tirtouga is the fifth prehistoric Water-Rock Type Pokémon, the other Pokémon being Kabuto, Kabutops, Omanyte, and Omastar.
- The name "Tirtouga" may be based on the words "turtle" and the Caribbean island of Tortuga or maybe the word "Tortuga" meaning turtle in Spanish. Also there is a chance its name comes from "Tartaruga" which is Italian for turtle.
