|First Appearance:||Generation III|
|Catch Rate:||(4x thru 1x)|
A Timer Ball is a type of Poké Ball used for catching Pokémon. For every ten turns that pass in a battle with a wild Pokémon, the chances of success for capturing the Pokémon increases. Its starting effectiveness is no better than that of a standard Poké Ball. It has a black, white, and red top with the sides of the top half being range and what looks like a cooking timer handle of orange pointing toward the button. It has a better catch rate the more turns there are before using it.
- Generation III and IV
- 1× + (amount of turns in battle ÷ 10)× (max up to 4×)
- This works out to be a 0.1× boost each turn, maxing at 4.0× after 40 turns have elapsed.
- Generation V
- 1× + ((1229 ÷ 4096) × amount of turns in battle)× (max up to 4×)
- This works out to be roughly a 0.3× boost each turn, maxing at 4.0× after 10 turns have elapsed.
