Trivia

Facts

  • Sylveon is the only cross-generation evolution in Generation VI.

Design origins

Sylveon, like other Eevee evolutions, is based on various characteristics of cats, dogs, and foxes.

Etymology

Sylveon's name is based off the words slyph, a mythical invisible creature, and eon, meaning a long period of time. eon is the suffix of all Eevee evolutions.
