|Function:||Serves as a shell for Jirachi in its hibernation cycle.|
|Debut:||Jirachi: Wish Maker|
The Millennium Crystal is a purple crystal which holds the Legendary Pokémon Jirachi whilst it is in stasis.
Overview[edit | edit source]
The Millennium Crystal resembles a purplish crystal with many various segments jutting out of it. Jirachi is able to communicate telepathically from within the Crystal, in which it can seek out the one person with whom it will accompany as a friend. The Crystal was showcased by Butler and Diane at his magic performance, in which they unveiled it to the crowd after a trick. This was where Max first heard Jirachi's voice emanating from within the Crystal.
The Crystal can also release an illuminating light, which was shown when Diane presented it to the audience of Butler's magic show. The Millennium Crystal stays in its hibernation state until the first day of the Millennium Comet, whereupon it glows brilliantly with a bright light. The Millennium Crystal seems to have a connection with the Millennium Comet, as shown when Jirachi states that the star is calling to it. Whilst the Crystal is preparing to awaken Jirachi, the cave structures in Forina fluctuate similarly.
The Millennium Crystal was discovered by Butler and Diane in Forina, where it was hidden deep under the ground. After the seventh night of the Millennium Comet, Jirachi reverts back to its hibernation state, with purple wisps of energy enveloping it. The Millennium Crystal then completely forms around Jirachi, whereupon it phases through the ground to its resting place below Forina. As the Millennium Crystal makes contact with the ground, the ripple extends throughout all of Forina.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- The title Millennium Crystal is entirely conjectural, due to the fact that it was never named during the course of the movie.
