Trivia

Design origins

Klefki is based on a keychain and the Pagan tradition of blaming fairies for small lost artifacts.

Etymology

Klefki's name is believed to be based off of the words clef, which is French for key, or instead the word kleptomaniac, for its habit of collecting keys, and the word key.
