Synopsis[]
While still heading to Ecruteak City Ash and co. make a detour at the Ruins of Alph where they run into Professor Oak and Foster, a good friend of his. They enter a Pokémon park where prehistoric Pokémon are researched. It is also in this lab that they see some Omanyte, which Professor Oak has correctly suspected are REAL. Can Ash and his friends keep this secret, especially from Team Rocket?
Trivia[]
- For the first time ever, Brock pulls Misty by the ear.
- Ash fails to mention that he has encountered live specimens of the 5 extinct Pokemon on two seperate occasions, which would make the work into studying their fossils entirely redundant. There even exists photographs of Ash being attacked by an Aerodactyl.
- Ash assumes that the individual Omanyte and Omastar are millions of years old, but there is nothing to suggest that these Pokemon can't breed, and so the ones he was looking at might have only been a few years old.
- Ash says that trainers shouldn't be allowed to catch the Omanyte and Omastar, but there is clearly a large and possibly breeding colony in the lake, making them no different than any other Pokemon species that trainers catch.
