|Pokémon: Indigo League|
|October 5, 1998||December 11, 1999|
Holiday Hi-Jynx is the original 39th episode of the Indigo League season. Due to the Electric Soldier Porygon incident, it was delayed until it was aired as a special with Snow Way Out!, which was also delayed.
Plot[edit | edit source]
Ash, Misty, Brock and their Pokémon are trying to return a lost Jynx to Santa Claus before Christmas, with the help of a Lapras. Meanwhile, Jessie attempts to take revenge on Santa for stealing her favorite doll when she was young and tries to steal all the toys of Santa's workshop. By the end of the episode, she learns that Jynx was only fixing it.
Goofs[edit | edit source]
- Because this episode was aired out of order, Ash's Charizard is still Charmander in this episode even though it evolved in into Charmeleon in IL043 and then into Charizard in IL046 and Togepi is absent.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- This episode was supposed to be aired as IL039, but because of IL038, it was aired at a later date.
- After this episode aired, Jynx was accused of being a racial stereotype of African-American people by writer Carole Boston Weatherford, causing this episode to be pulled from rotation for some time.
