Thunderwave Cave is the second dungeon in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team & Blue Rescue Team. This dungeon is unlocked the day after the main character and their partner help Caterpie in the Tiny Woods. They receive a rescue request in the mail from a Magnemite: two of its friends were affected by a strange electromagnetic wave, sticking them together in a half-evolved form. Since two Magnemite are not enough to form a Magneton, they needed help getting out of the dungeon.

As a reward for the rescue, the Magnemite give the rescue team 500 poké, a Reviver Seed, and a Rawst Berry. One of the Magnemite also later joins the rescue team.

This dungeon is mainly inhabited by electric-type Pokémon and contains five floors.
