Soren (Japanese: ソランSoran) debuted in BW101: A Surface to Air Tag Battle Team! with his Braviary. He and his twin brother, Rīku, had previously defeated Emmet and Ingo in a Tag Battle and challenged Ash and Cilan, only to be easily defeated. Afterwards, Cilan gave the duo pointers and helped them capture more Pokémon. He refers to himself as the master of the sky, while his twin refers to himself as the master of the ground.
Braviary is Soren's main Pokémon in his team that he uses to tag battle with his twin, Rīku. It battled the Subway Bosses and won, but lost to Ash and Cilan. Its known moves are Wing Attack, Brave Bird, Fury Attack and Aerial Ace.
