Team Plasma's Pokémon Manipulation! (プラズマ団の野望!操られたポケモンたち!!Plasma-dan's Ambition! The Controlled Pokémon!!) is the 776th episode of the Pokémon anime series. This episode leads Ash, Iris, and Cilan into a city where they discover that a Pokémon is causing mass destruction throughout the city.

Episode Summary[edit | edit source]

The episode begins with Colress and Aldith hiding in a warehouse where they are continuing their experiments with Colress' machine. His first target is a Scolipede and when the machine is used on it, Scolipede becomes violent and uses a Solar Beam at the barrier between it, Colress, and Aldith. While the attack was powerful, Colress states that it was not as powerful as he wished, so there was still work to be done. Therefore, he removed the control over Scolipede, relaxing the two other Pokémon that was near it (Maractus and Deerling, in summer form). The results from the experiment pleased Ghetsis, even though Colress was explaining in scientific detail as to how his machine worked which annoyed Ghetsis.

The scene then changes to Ash, Iris, Cilan, and N walking down a route where they acknowledge that once they reach the next city, they will be parting from eachother (N and Ash's friends), because N has business he needs to attend to. Ghetsis is then being informed from his grunts on various missions, including the search group for N and updates from the White Ruins.

When Ash and his friends reach the next city, they are blocked from entering from Officer Jenny. She informs them that nobody is allowed into the city due to a Haxorus rampaging throughout the city. Iris, due to her love for Dragon type Pokémon, was greatly upset over this news and insisted that there had to be a reason for it and asked to get through so she could try to help. However, Officer Jenny refused to let any of them pass. It is then that Team Rocket is seen behind some bushes overhearing what was going on and made a connection to this Haxorus on the rampage and other Pokémon were doing very similar things in Floccey Town (shown in a previous episode) and decided to stay around to watch what happens. Due to the refusal to be let in, Ash and his friends decide to try another entrance, for which Officer Jenny yelled to them that they are all blocked.

Upon realizing that Officer Jenny was correct, that the entrances to the city were blocked, the four of them tried to think of other ways into the city. It is then that they discovered a boat that they could take to cross over into the city. While they were on the boat, holes began to appear and the boat was starting to sink. Fortunately for them, they were able to reach the other side before the boat sank. When they took shore, they soon ran into Looker who was also here on a mission of his own. When they introduced N to Looker, Looker consciously made a note that N was the person Team Plasma was looking for.

The group then ran into the Haxorus that was causing trouble throughout the city. Team Rocket saw the Haxorus as well and also saw Team Plasma on a roof top. Colress made a note that just controlling this Haxorus wasn't probably enough to satisfy Ghetsis. Ash and his friends agreed that they needed to try to stop Haxorus but when Iris attempted to talk to it, it decided to attack her (she dodged the attack). N as well, was not able to communicate with it nor could hear it's inner voice. Looker decided to use his own device to stop the E.M. waves but the device failed due to the waves being too high.

It is then that a boy tries to tell Haxorus to stop and it's revealed that he is the owner of the Pokémon. When Iris suggests to put it in its Pokémon, he explains that he's tried and that Haxorus refuses to go in it's ball. Ash tells his Pikachu to use Thunderbolt but it failed to stop Haxorus. So, Iris called out her Dragonite and used Ice Beam, but that failed as well. Colress was intrigued by seeing a Dragonite and used his machine to take over it. He told Dragonite to use all of its power to go on a rampage alongside Haxorus. Like Rhoder, Iris couldn't recall her Dragonite. So, Ash called out his Charizard to try to stop Dragonite and Cilan called out his Crustle to take care of Haxorus.

Team Plasma sees N and makes orders to capture him. When Team Plasma appears in front of them, N shows he knows them and it surprises Ash. Team Plasma requests them to return to Ghetsis for which N refuses. N demands to know what they are doing and Colress explained how his machine amplifies a Pokémon's power. This results in N saying that it isn't right to do what they're doing but Colress defends his machine. It is then that Team Plasma notices Team Rocket in their plane and orders their grunts to take care of Team Rocket. This results in Ash trying to stop the remaining Team Plasma members. When he saw an opening, N tried to stop the rampaging Pokémon but instead was attacked by both Dragonite and Haxorus, knocking him unconscious. During the battle between Team Rocket and Team Plasma, one of Team Plasma's attacks hit their vehicle that contained Colress' machine which resulted in it shutting down and restored the Pokémon to their normal states.

When Team Plasma told Ghetsis that they found N, he ordered them to capture him at all costs. However, a fog appeared, hiding N, Ash, and the rest of his friends. It is then that two mysterious women appeared and took N with them. Ash, Iris, and Cilan decided to follow the two women that took N and Team Rocket followed them as well. When the fog vanished, Team Rocket was found standing at a cliff and Ash and his friends watching as N was glided to a pond of mystic powers.
