Trivia[]

Facts[]

  • Xerneas has the highest base Attack stat and highest base stat total out of all Fairy-type Pokémon.
  • Xerneas and Yveltal share the same stat distributions.

Design origins[]

Xerneas is based on the letter X. Its design may also be derived from the mythical creatures Eikþyrnir} and the four stags: Dáinn, Dvalinn, Duneyrr and Duraþrór.

Etymology[]

Xerneas' name comes from the letter X and possibly from the words cervus, which is Latin for dear, Cernunnos, a Celtic god, or from Ceryneian Hind, a mythical dear that was sacred to the Greek god, Artemis.
